However, the princes learned all the deeds of the magician and found a way to kill him. But before dying, the magician cast a dark spell on the palace which caused its doom. Now no one is allowed to visit the fort after sunset.
D’Souza Chawl in Mahim, Mumbai
It is one of the most haunted places in Mumbai. The story says that women fell into the water and died crying for help. That is the reason most people say that they have seen a woman roaming around the well and the nearby area.
Kuldhara, Rajasthan
It is a deserted ghost village that has been abandoned since 1800’s. The village is said to carry a curse of the villagers who were vanished from there overnight, after living there for the last seven centuries. The village was established in 1291 by Paliwal Brahmins. It is said that in 1825, all the people in Kuldhara and 83 nearby villages were vanished in the dark, all of a sudden without any warning. It is said that, Salim Singh, the minister of the state fell in love with the daughter of the village head. The village head refused to marry his daughter to him.
The minister threatened the villagers by saying if they did not marry the girl to him, he would put heavy taxes on their lands. The villagers abandoned the village to protect the girl’s honor. But the story says that nobody saw them leave or know where they went.
The Shaniwarwada Fort, Pune
This fort has witnessed various mysterious occurrences. The story says that a young prince was brutally beaten to death here and now his spirit haunts this palace. On the full moon night, people tend to gather here just to hear the boy’s scream. The fort is opened for visitors during the day, but nobody is allowed to visit after nightfall.
