RIP Reema Lagoo: The Bollywood Mom passes away

The morning of 18 May 2017 has turned out to be sorrowful as our beloved actress Reema Lagoo bids goodbye to the world.  Yesterday night Reema Lagoo was suffering from chest pain due to which she was rushed to the Kokilaben hospital in Andheri Mumbai. Around 3:30 A.M. today morning doctors declared her dead due to Cardiac attack. It is reported that she was not facing any health issues.  Her funeral rituals will be done later today.

Reema was born on 3 February 1958, and at the age of 59, she breathed last, i.e., on 18 May 2017 in Mumbai Maharashtra. Her mother was also a famous Marathi Actress, and after her schooling, she indulges herself in the acting world. She started her career in late 1970’s as an actress in Hindi and Marathi movies. For the first time, she was staged in a Marathi film. She was married to a Marathi actor Vivek Lagoo, and after her marriage, she turned her name to Reema Lagoo. After few years of her wedding, the couple got separated. The couple was blessed with a daughter named Mrunmayee Lagoo.

Reema was a famous actress mainly known for her motherly and supporting roles both in big screens and on television.  She has given several Bollywood hits on big screens like ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hai’, ‘Maine Pyar Kiya,’ ‘ Hum Aapke Hai Koun’,’ Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. Reema had also worked in TV series like ‘Tu Tu Main Main’ and was presently working on a star plus show ‘Naamkaran’. She was playing a role of a grandmother ‘Dayavanti Mehta’ in this series. She won several Filmfare awards for supporting actress. Her unique and realistic style of presenting herself as a mother has always made a place in our hearts. In her roles, she always portrayed the image of the perfect mother.
